How these predictions work (and why they’re just for fun)
The Chinese gender chart cross-references a mother’s age with the month of conception. There’s no biological mechanism behind it, so it’s right about half the time — the same as guessing. Your baby’s star sign and Chinese zodiac animal are simply the astrological signs for the due date and year; they’re real calendar facts about signs, not predictions about your baby. Birthstones and birth flowers are traditional associations for each month. We think they’re a lovely bit of anticipation — just don’t make any plans around them.
